Do parents have to buy art materials?No. Required supplies are included in the monthly cost of each program and are provided via our Harmony at Home Learning Kits.

​What if my child is shy, active, loud, crazy, etc.?After 5 years of homeschooling introverted, kinesthetic learners and extroverted visual/auditory learners who are easily distracted, we feel confident we can teach your child online and help him or her have a wonderful experience!

​Are there other costs besides the monthly fee?No. There are no other costs required to participate.

​What requirements do I need to participate?You'll need internet and a laptop or desktop computer. You can use an iPad or a phone but we don't recommend it because it can be difficult to see the screen.

Do parents have to print things off or help outside of preschool class?Sometimes parents may want to print out bonus materials or materials in the Harmony Resource Library. When it comes to parent and child participation, our curriculum is designed to be hands-on in our preschool videos each day. Therefore the activities in the Harmony at Home Kits are not self-manageable. The activities will require adult participation for: - Staying safe by helping child cut with scissors and making sure small pieces are not put into the mouth - Help with glue, spelling, writing or other learning aspects - To ensure your child is grasping the concepts taught in the curriculum and - To encourage family bonding at home

What's the difference between your online preschool and Hooked on Phonics or ABC Mouse?The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests that preschoolers have no more than 1 hour of screen time. Would you prefer your child used that hour on high-intensity video games or on virtual personalized interaction to prepare your child in EVERY WAY to develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and linguistically? We believe preschool is a hands-on experience, and playing video games to "learn" is not how we do things at online preschool.

I work from home. Will this help keep my child occupied on their own?No; most likely it will not. We have found that while online learning is a great option for those who enjoy the convenience and safety of home, young children require even more adult interaction and presence in order to set them up for success.

My child is already enrolled in a local preschool. Is it okay or necessary to also enroll in HOP's programs?Absolutely! It is okay for your child to also be enrolled elsewhere while being a part of Harmony Online Preschool. We definitely encourage enrollment in either of our programs as a supplemental alternative for the following reasons: - Our new and improved curriculum that is primarily focused on social-emotional learning - Optional Online Spanish video component included - Optional Bible Enrichment video component included - Engaging Pre-K life skills learning videos that help reiterate what child may already be learning in local preschool - FREE activity kits sent monthly that encourage connection, gross motor skills & more!
